Our Publication Charges

The International Journal of Teaching and Learning strives to maintain a clear and transparent publishing process for the authors. Once a manuscript has passed the editorial and peer review process of the journal, an Article Processing Charge (APC) may be charged.

The APC is funding the operation expenses of manuscript handling, peer review coordination, editorial, online publication, maintenance of the website and long-term availability of published articles.

When Is the APC Applicable?

The APC will only be charged upon acceptance of a manuscript. Authors do not have to pay an APC to submit to the journal or even for it to be peer reviewed.

Payment of an APC will not affect the editorial process. The manuscripts are judged based on their academic merit, originality, relevance and appropriateness for the journal.

What Does the APC Support?

The publication charge is designed to cover the work involved in getting an accepted manuscript to publication including:

• Manuscript processing and editorial administration
• Coordination of the peer review process
• Copyediting and publication preparation
• Online article hosting and publication
• Website and publishing platform maintenance
• Preservation and continued accessibility of published content

No Guarantee of Acceptance

There is no requirement for people to pay for it to be accepted. Editorial decisions are not influenced by editorial policies or the peer review process.

Manuscripts can be rejected at any point if they do not conform to the academic or ethical standards, or editorial policies of the journal.

APC Information for Authors

The authors should check the present publication fee before submission of the manuscript. All fees, currency, payment process etc., will be clearly communicated during the publication process if applicable.
